We are in the historical Maramures and we enter the small pension GREEN MEADOWS.

A small house like a jewel, over 100 years old, moved piece by piece and placed on a property right next to the wooden church in Vișeu de Sus. The owners managed to harmoniously combine the rustic look with modern, beautifully decorated interiors.

The town of Vișeu de Sus is located at the confluence of two rivers: Viseu and Vaser and is declared a tourist resort of local interest. Musai, if you get in the area, start on Valea Vaserului and take a walk with Mocanita! Taken as a whole, the area we are in is a depression surrounded by hills.

GREEN MEADOWS is an inviting guesthouse, suitable for those passing through Vișeu or for those who want to experience living in a house like the ones in the Maramures Village Museum. The house has 4 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom; in the basement, an equipped kitchen and another room suitable for relaxation and parties. There is no TV, but there is an internet connection, which works throughout the location. There is a seating area, a dining area and a kitchen complete with a dishwasher, a microwave and a fridge.

You can go out in the garden to heat a barbecue, you will find everything you need in the specially arranged corner. After a day of skiing or cycling, guests can relax in the garden or in the shared lounge area. It’s all full of greenery and trees and it’s very quiet…. And if you find yourself around the Holidays, the atmosphere will be special on the street and around the church: carolers and many traditions preserved with holiness…

The wooden church in Ieud is worth visiting again. This is one of the oldest churches preserved in Maramures and included in the UNESCO world heritage and is about 15 km away.
